almost certainly.

eeni

wow, i can't believe it's been two weeks since my last post. time is flying by and, although an incredible amount has been accomplished in the last 14 days, i'm still scrambling to get things in order for our houseguests arriving this friday. here's what's going on, in order of importance (to me):

• we had our 18-20 week ultrasound yesterday, which was not as clear as the 12 week one, as the baby is twice as big and harder to get a full look at but everything is going perfectly and at the last, last second the doctor announced that we are almost certainly having a girl. a girl! i've been fairly convinced that we were having a boy so we were both pretty surprised but, now that i've had 24 hours to wrap my head around the idea, i'm thrilled. think of all the super cute wee dresses i can create...

• the onegirl gathers vintage shop has been updated over the weekend with a bunch of fabric from all decades and genres, a smattering of cool housewares and a selection from my yarn stash. there is still PLENTY more to come but i've just run out of time with the amount of other things that need to be done this week so there will be another update in mid-march with a lot more vintage house stuff and some more yarn.

• aside from last minute scrubbing and shifting of furniture, this week is devoted to lunchtime op shop runs in search of a bassinet that we can use this weekend and for our future wee lady. shane's brother and sister-in-law have said that their son can sleep with them for the four nights they'll be with us but shane is showing an early paternal side and is concerned that his brother might squish the baby after consuming many brotherly beers in the backyard. in order to ease his mind, i volunteered to hit the shops and, although i didn't find a bassinet, i did score some super cute and cheap goods today (the eeni meeni miini moh hooded cotton wrap above was a mere $2 and is in absolutely perfect condition). i've been a bit quiet on the thrift shopping lately but i'm definitely reinspired and looking forward to the next few day's jaunts.

::next week:: back to crafting!!

  2. Woo hoo- little girls are so full of sugar and spice and all things nice. And they have such better clothing options. That is wonderful. You know I think Sara would be a wonderful choice- I don't mind if I only make it to middle name, that would be okay too.

  17. warning: when you become a parent, you are likely to go to at least one baby/children's wear sale. I went to the eenie meeni sale last Friday here in Bris. I got there at 9.20....and stood in queue for 2.5 hours. Left at 1pm! Never would I have thought I would have done this....but I was so in the zone. And I'm not one for shopping. so, here's my advise.....shop online!

    so glad that you are enjoying your pregnancy. it really is an amazing thing. And a girl. I have both, and there are good thing about both genders. Either way, you'll get lots of kisses and smiles coming to you.
