exmouth, here we come...

just booked our flights to western australia for 11 days in october and i'm brimming with giddy thoughts of snorkelling with sea turtles, collecting an array of seashells and fishing from pure white empty beaches. for the lovely jo, here are a few shots from our last trip there...

turtles
those black blobs are sea turtles and there were about 30 of them all bobbing around, 2 to 3 meters from shore.

we had some pics of all sorts of amazing fish from an underwater disposable camera too but i have no idea where they are right now.

oh, i'm SO excited to get back there!

Wow! Thank-you for showing me... can I come to? only kidding, I'll get my chance when the bambinos are a little older :)

That is so beautiful, and the sea turtles aren't they the best. I remember scuba diving with them on our honeymoon, and they are like little old men. So slow and calm.

  7. i will be taking a heap of photos, that's for sure! i just bought a new crumpler camera bag so i can take both my nikons with a bunch of lenses : )

as for sharks, a tour guide we met last time we were there said that shark attacks are very uncommon as the coast line is pretty protected by reef. however i did have a meter and a half long reef shark swim right in front of me while snorkelling and almost stopped breathing. he glided on by, didn't care about me at all.

  8. I've always wanted to go to that stretch of coastline. My sister has just headed off on a campervan journey around OZ (for the second time), and I'm so envious that she'll be back there soon. My only consolation is that she plans to be married on cable beach in Broome, so I'll have no excuse not to go then... although that's apparently not going to be for another few years.

Sounds like a wonderful journey, I bet you can't wait to get back there. Come to think of it, it sounds like the perfect place to conceive really ;)
