woah, things have been a bit crazy lately - the herald sun article has brought huge numbers of inquiries and orders with it, which is a great thing, of course, but has left me struggling to keep up. add to that the basic day to day life with a 15 month old and trying to prep for five markets, throw in some bloody hot days and you have plenty of reasons why i have not been in front of my computer lately. also, i've been doing a lot of this:
marveling at my little girl, who is SO no longer a baby and seems so much like a little kid now. taking steps between things, finally, which is right on cue as she gets cranky with crawling and then wants to walk around holding my fingers which is only fun for so long (for me). i've been wanting to do a huge post about mae and all of her cuteness but time and energy haven't let it happen yet... soon.
and yesterday i turned 34 which suddenly seems so much older than 33 somehow. we drove down to barwon heads early in the morning, to get in some beach time before mae's nap. it was her first real trip to the beach, as in actually going in the water and she LOVED IT. loved the water, loved the waves, loved the sand, dry or wet. i foresee that much time will be spent at the beach this summer...
Mae looks as cute as a button! Great seaside shots and...Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI'm turning 34 tomorrow and I hear ya loud and clear about the so much older thing. In fact, I'm so old and geriatric that I forgot for a moment whether I was turning 34 or 35 - geez, imagine what I'll be like at 40!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo - I can totally see the love beaming from you to Mae!
Happy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo will be one to treasure. :-)
Happy birthday fellow Yarravillian and Novemberian. What a grown up little girl you have, enjoy this great time, she's so sweet! Mine's Saturday and i'm determined to have a fun week- and commenting on every blog I can who have birthday's near mine! It's fun:)
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday Leslie! Glad you had such a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteYeah, baby to toddler happens almost instantly you miss it, doesn't it? Lovely picture of the two of you, and Happy Birthday too! I hope it was a great day. :o)
ReplyDeleteOooohhh, they grow up so quickly, I am glad you are appreciating her- mine are 7 and 9 now and I do not know how that happened!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Lovely pictures xox
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Leslie. If you just work it this way you feel less geriatric: 30-34 early thirties. 35-38 mid-thirties, 39 still in my thirties.
ReplyDeleteI love Barwon Heads, perfect for small people.
Good luck with all the work!
Oh that photo of you and Mae is really lovely! Happy Birthday to you too :)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Leslie!!! Sometimes I find it hard to believe that we're already reaching the 34 mark! You and the family look so lovely in these pictures - there's something very special about that first one with you gazing at Mae (you have a look in your eyes I have never seen before ... pure contentedness, mixed with wonder?). Here's to another wonderful year, with days productive and happy, many pleasant surprises, and happy times with the fam!
ReplyDeleteLove Sarah
Happy Birthday. What a cutie pie Mae is becoming in her old age. :) She's a doll. Looks like your day at the beach was perfect.
ReplyDeletehappy birthday leslie
ReplyDeletewhere has your baby gone!?
great that mae loves the beach, you are all set for summer!
Happy Birthday to you. Barwon Heads looks lovely and I havent been there since my SIL got married 8 years ago now at the seaside restaurant. It looks nice and quiet when you were there. Isnt it nice when your babies love the water. Mine both love the beach too. I like that photo of you together, and yes time does fly right by. I think once you hit 35 it just zooms by so quickly.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that photo of you and Mae.
This year is going to be amazing for you with the little girl. SO much happens between ages 1-2 it's incredible!
So glad to hear of your successes.
Happy Birthday! A beautiful picture of the 2 of you!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your markets- I'm sure you will do very well :D
Belated birthday wishes - sounds like a lovely day. 34 is definitely approaching adulthood, but not quite. I'm turning 40 on Friday, from that point on I don't think I can use "when I grow up" as an excuse anymore!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Leslie! It looks like you had a super duper day. I love all the shots of Mae. She is such a beautiful happy babe. And hey - while she might not be a baby, I still call Scouty my newborn. Wrong I know, but she's still new to me. Love the pink spotties. So cute. x
ReplyDeletea belated happy b-day to you.
ReplyDeleteand i can't believe mae is already 15 months. crazy.
and i love your fringe.
Happy belated birthday (i've had your post open on my server for days! Just so I would remember to comment) so pleased with your herald sun fame, glad that you enjoyed your birthday, and great beach shots... can't wait until we can hit the coast this year. Jo x
