the big 200
and here we are, folks, my 200th post. not so good, really, when you consider i've been blogging for almost two years! ah well, i feel like i'm in a good rhythm now and hopefully will be able to pick it up again when i get back from sunning myself on the beaches of WA. i keep bringing that up, i realize, and i'm not meaning to rub it in but it's on my mind constantly - just shane and i, on the road in a campervan, pure white beaches, surf rods in hand, salty, sandy hair, leisurely reading and taking photos, fossicking for shells on 80 mile beach in the middle of nowhere, no tv, no computer, no makeup... *bliss*
not that my four day weekend hasn't been wonderful. i've taken long walks with the dog, visited a few local op shops (and found some lovely goodies), worked in the garden, lay on the grass in the sunshine, caught up on laundry and yesterday cooked a canadian thanksgiving feast of roast chicken with homemade mushroom and sage stuffing, sour cream and parmesan mashed potatoes and delicious spring asparagus. i've got 10 oobees and 8 windsees in various stages of completion and schemed up a cute christmas oobee idea to be worked on when i get back (along with the 12 other project ideas i'd love to try out). i got plenty accomplished but still allowed myself to tackle things at a leisurely pace and it's left me feeling very satisfied and, yes, relaxed.
