all good

well, it's a bit anti-climactic (in the best possible way) but i took bax to the vet yesterday only to be told that the tooth was nothing to worry about, he isn't in any pain, it's not bothering him and to just keep an eye on it for infection. otherwise, leave it for the time being. after reading so many bad things about broken dog teeth on the internet, it took a bit of convincing from my vet that this was the best course of action, i felt a bit like the crazy pet owner, but when he poked at the tooth with no reaction from baxter, i finally gave in. so i'll watch it and be thankful for the extra $500 to $800 dollars that i was expecting to have to spend! the vet also said that baxter has most likely been out of sorts because his routine has changed so much and he's cranky with us for leaving him - fair enough, too.

so many works in progress...

so many works in progress...

here are the fruits of my labour from the past week, although some of them, like the vintage pieced windsees above (still needing wings) have been in the works for ages now. for anyone who is waiting for these, i plan to have them in the shop the last week of november. i have 8 of them so i'll add one a day from the 23rd and will post a little note here when i do. it's been so satisfying to use of a (tiny) bit of my fabric and have so many toys ready to go for the holidays. just a few more to make and then i can concentrate on a few other products i have swirling around my mind...
