figgy's

wow, i am feeling sooooo much better, like 90% well for the first time in ages and ages. it's ace. until i look around and see all the many, many things that lay dormant while i was sick and now need tending too. i have such a backlog of work, both maze & vale and house, correspondence and blog posts to write, i almost don't know where to start. so i'm making lists and trying to cross stuff off. first off the blog post catch-up ranks is an absolute pleasure, allow me to share the linen fabric i custom printed for the very lovely Shelly of Figgy's Patterns a couple of months ago:

that she then used to create this stunning sample of her Zephyr romper pattern for her Kid's Romper Revamp class on Craftsy!

i love it so much and was SO excited to see the way the design responded to the Zephyr pattern. shelly basically gave me free reign and i had way too much fun printing this linen, with my confetti design in pale pink making a border along the selvedges, overprinted with a handcut paper stencil for the grey stripes and then seedpods in overcast for the bulk of the design, slightly overprinting the stripes. WAY TOO MUCH FUN. i really love printing. so much. thanks again, Shelly, for the good times - love your work!
