i got a lovely email the other day from natalie, who, at nine months pregnant and on bedrest (!), just finished a fleur playmat for her soon-to-be daughter's nursery. she is using heather bailey fabrics exclusively for the room and couldn't quite decide what fabric to use for the cheeks so she's left them off for now and i think the playmat still turned out fabulously. i also love how she used an appliqued patterned circle for the face - this is exactly what i was hoping people would do with the pattern, customise it, play with it, try different techniques. and all this with a belly full of baby!

you can read natalie's experience with the pattern on her own blog or in her post for pregnancy & newborn magazine's blog. thanks again for sharing, natalie, and good luck with your c-section on monday, you amazing lady!
