i spy

when i look down from my sewing table i see this...

maesey's space in the sewingroom
mae has almost half the room set up as her play area with quilts and playmats and an array of toys at her disposal. she's surprisingly happy playing by herself, with the odd chatter at the dog or me thrown in.

or this...

ew.
i never thought i would be the kind of person who finds my kid with food all over her face "cute" and photo worthy but there you have it : )

(i never thought i'd buy a garish baby seat/toy either. and i didn't - it's a loan from our neighbour and super ugly but man, she loves that thing)

or this...

plotting with the mirror
plotting some serious mischief with the mirror.

and when i look up from my sewing table i see this...

basket of wips
basket of works in progress.

and this...

boy scrap quilt
cot sized, pieced together freeform using scraps from previous quilts. possibly my favourite cot quilt ever, although i think that about each new one i finish.

and this...

best. amitie. vip mailout. ever.
pure deliciousness from amitie's blog vip mailout. soooooo happy!

and it's all good. i'm loving these days, no matter how hectic they are : )

  1. Wow, Mae has gotten so big and looks gorgeous in her onesie. What a cutie! I don't think I'd get much sewing done, I love how Baxter is watching over her too!

wow! she's getting so big! you are so lucky you can put mae down and have her be happy! poppy can sit by herself but throws a lil baby fit if i am not right there...cling-o-rama! teething probably has a little to do with it, i'm sure...so it's ok. :P

also: solid food! yay! just starting that over here but she's not a big fan yet. someday!

I love that subtle blue polka fabric on the back of the quilt. Where's it from?
