the big reveal
the final, final oobee blankee design! i spent so long fiddling with the previous pattern and thought that i'd finally nailed it...
but after making 5 or so with the above pattern, i had to admit that it was difficult to work with and perfect. one night as i lay awake with my pregnancy insomnia, my brain suddenly switched on and i thought of the much easier and streamlined design that you see at the top of the page. it takes larger cuts of fabric to make, which means the price has to go up a smidge, but it's so much easier to work with and, i think, looks just as good, if not better.
i've finally popped some blankees of varying fabrics into my shop
, a few of the new, final design and a couple of the older designs at a slightly lower price. here's the blurb that accompanies them:
the perfect sleep companion for your wee one, the oobee blankee combines sweet designer cotton prints with super soft organic cotton/hemp fleece to create a snuggly security blanket that also doubles as a puppet and good buddy! safe for babies with no loose or removable parts, oobee blankees are sewn with an overlocking stitch to make them super sturdy and able to withstand a whole heap o' love.
